Freedon Day Celebration

I'm assuming commemorating freedom day is not ANC event, DA, COPE IFP or UDM etc. In my understanding it should for everyone South African who live in it, weather you were invloved or non participated in struggle. The party politics should stay out of the government calender holidays.

The only reason i'm raising this topic, i'm saddened and concerned the way, we members of the ANC we conduct ourself during the big events. On 21 March Human Right Day was celebrated in Athlone stadium DA mayoral candidate Patricia De Lille was heckled by us members of the ANC depriving her time to speak about the national event.  Remember the event was broadcast live on televison and radio, think about school children who were clued on the T.V with parents as it was public holiday.

Again yesterday in Union Building in Pretoria or Tswane where president Jacob Zuma was going to address the nation as the key note address. The DA member and IFP were the victims of the same heckled and howled by the ANC members while delivering their messages of support to the nation and families were directly affected by the liberation struggle.

When the crowd start howling the speakers attended the event grew louder and many made the hand signal used at soccer matches to indicate they disertifation of the player and he should be substituted. I do not condone such behaviour and i will never support it.

However that kind of behaviour is unbecaming and it needs to be condemn with content strongest possible it deserved. I'm quiet aware not all the members of the ANC are hoolings, there are certain minority of people who are determined to put the organisation in disrupt for uncessarly.

it's a poor idea to lie to yourself

Lying is something can be beneficiary or dangerous. When you lie you must be very smart and professional as they called them in public relations spin doctors because those people are deals with the media everyday in their life. There is a golden rule in communications that never say to the media no comment rather say i will come back or i will comment after the internal investigation have completed. It's a poor idea to lie to yourself.

I remember vividly when the former president Nelson Mandela was getting married to Mrs Graca Macheal, the late Parks Mankahlana spokesperson for tata, when he was approached by the media to clarify if indeed  tata was about to get married to Ms Macheal, he said Mandela is not getting married to anyone he has only one wife mama Winnie Madikizela- Mandela, he said no further comment. Later same day it appears he was lying to the nation that tata was not getting married.

When you lie,you lie because you want to protect yourself from being humiliated for certain reasons. I remember one day, it winter time, it was raining cats and dogs, I lied to myself ,I was supposed to have gone to work as normal. I sent text sms to my supervisor and informing him that, I was not feeling well.

He easly agreed with me to stay out  of work for two days. On the third day back to work, i had to bring certificate doctor to show him that, i was unfit to work for the past two days. However the worse scenario, I never gone to the doctor for examination and certificate.  I could not prove to him and organization that, i was sick even thought i sent an text sms. I was therefore given a written warning.I I regreated the poor idea to lie to myself.

Its the beginning of holy week today!

Yesterday morning i went to church (icawe yamahlamvu palm sunday)  It was not a normal church sunday as we starded around 08:00am until 11:00am walking around the streets, shebeens , informal gatherings and door to door preaching the word of GOD and also reminding people about the holy week and Easter Weekend starting on thursday.

I have not been to church for a while, since i have enrol for my B-tech Public Relations at CPUT because of the assigments and number reading one has to do over the weekend. So yesterday service was so powerful and church was packed to its capacity.

However i was taken aback with preaching of Rev Mkhwe and the singing from 11:00am until 15:00pm. It felt was easter already people were so excited and hungry for the word of GOD. I love singing and powerful preaching that goes powerful message, not those local preachers or Rev who used the word of GOD as the platform to attack other people who don't have same privilege as them.

The church should be a home to everyone especially those who are vulnerable from their kids and husband who abused them after taking drugs and alcohol. The church its a place to heal, safety and stress free their received from home and neighbours. The point i want to put across is that, i had a great sunday church and i'm worried that, i'm going to miss the holy week today and tomorrow. But i have consoled myself for wednesday and the entire Easter Weekend.

So if we happened to have a class for Media studies tuesday night please forgive me, if i did come to the class, i will be completely exhausted, if i come for class i will just sleep for the better part of the class.

The sound of one hand clapping.

What is the sound of the single hand? When you clap together both hands a sharp sound is heard. when you raise the one hand there is neither sound nor. The echo of the completely empty or heard from the soundless sound.

This is something that can by no means be heard with the ear. It quite apart from seeing, hearing, perceiving and knowing if, while walking, standing an sitting. The sound of one hand clapping is a tiny sound that can be barly heard by humans.

The hand is the human heart and the clapping is emotions the other hand represents the one that makes us whole thus the clapping of both hands is the power of two people's emotions and the hands touching each other is the connection between the two people.

The sound of one hand clapping is a conversation with someone that never connects with them so you try again and again before realizing you are only talking to yourself- they don't get it. If you never realize that, you are just insane by definition and you will continue to be the one hand that connects with nothingness.

Do we still remember disaster Ellis Park Stadium?

It was exactly ten years ago 11 April 2001, when 43 football soccer fratenity were plunged into its darkest period ever in South African football history. When the stamped or disaster occured at Ellis Park i was only 13 years old. I think as South Africans we turn to forget very soon. When soccer derby is about to play after the disaster occured the moment of silent would be dedicated to whose who passed away.

The flags will be flowed all over the stadium to remember them. The flags used to be written "every game we play we play for you" but you hardly see those flags from both team Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs. Have we forgotten about them completely? I solely blame the so called soccer boss that we soccer lovers we forgotten about those adent supporters who die for them.

They should respect the families and soccer fans by holding commerative events in various soccer stadium or transport for soccer loves to remember as true fans. They should use the media such kick off magazine, soccer laduma, their own website, soccer players especially whose were involved on the day.

I'm taken aback because the PSL and both team should have done somethin to remember the tradegy. They are gone forever, but they are in our hearts. May they soul rest in peace and we still love them.

Not all who wander are lost

It's been a crazy couple of days, with some of  the things going right down to the wire, but today it was worse to say the least. For some reason this morning feels like wednesday not friday. I 've got loads of work to do this morning.

I have also to met deadline for our internal newsletter. I'm was feeling kind of down. I'm having a day where I really just don't want to remember a thing as i have no laptop today the whole day. Here it is whole day and barely  touch work for whole bless a day.

I have to leave in a bit of disarray, but normally by now i could have finish loads of work and done. I have not managed to make any attempt to work today. It's not like, I'm exhausted or anyhting it was just not my day. On monday i need to get back on track with planing and get done with it. I mean i have done nothing today from 07:30am until 16:00pm.

What i like.

It sound very easy, but is not. I mean there is so many things i like that i cannot mentioned in this platform. Being a man from Eastern Cape in the disadvantage rural areas and moved to Cape Town for my studies it makes me confuse, what what i like most.

I grow up loving stick fighters and life stock until, i relocated to the urban areas. In 1993 was the i change of my life from being a boy from village to the city. I develop love for sport in general, but soccer and athletics were my favourite sport until today.

Later is was clothings especially brand names  such as All star, Uzzi and Perrie Cardin. It was millennium year, when i develop an interest in education started reading newspapers, magazines and books. I once dreamt of one day became an academic or intellectual in my own right and space.  If i were to describe who is vumile? I would say that, i have two lifes of Eastern Cape and Western Cape.

Marketing blog

I have been using blogspot for the past four months, since i have enrolled CPUT as the part-time students of Public Relations degree student. I have been using it to communicate with my group/classmates and friends to explore most critical topics and various issues are affecting us as South Africans such as crime, murder,HIV& AIDS and povertry, but not as a marketing tool. So the classmates were quick to informed, what we were required to do as i was absent with flue and heahache.

I would like to think blogspot is great tool for marketing strategy,PR and communication opportunities like starting own initiative. The article marketing is fun, and perfect for when you are narrowing down the focus of a large blog marketing opportunties.  For me, internet marketing has became much easier with blog and accessable. Many internet marketers understestimate the power of blog as the most pwerful marketing tools.

It can be also optimized easily, update with fresh content regularly and search marketing opportunities.  With blogs, you can create great opportunities for marketing purpose and make it whatever you can imagane. I mean some of the most popular blogs online are not rehash a lot of yesterday's news. You can blog about your hobbies, your life, your studies and your ambitions and consider using your blog as communcation tool to your friends who are abroad.

How do you step from the top of a 100- foot pole?

There are many circumstance and situations that life leads us. It is ultimately up to us to make, what we want out of those trying times. If you really think about some suceessful people they were not always in the position they're in now. The difference between them and those who are still trying to be successful is how thy have taken all of the negativity and used it as motivation

Stepping off the 100 pole can be as simple as paying attention, truly investigating reality. It may mean really listening to ourselves and those around us. The emotions can be summarized by five negative emotions such as hatred, desire, confusion, pride and jealousy.

This does not mean to step away from our pain and confusion and our messy unpleasant emaotional life. Stepping from the 100 foot pole is just the opposite step directly into our feelings and emotions our mativation and condtions.

We step and embrace whatever is most messy and difficult. We all have an imaginary 100-foot pole in which, we have to decide when and for what purpose we would step from it.
