I want to take off my hat for Gift of the Givers, Cape Argus, BP, Unilever for thier Operation Warm Hearts for volunteer giving hand out blankets, food, nappies, clothings, toys and cleaning materials to residents around the province for Old Age homes, Aids orphans and destute communities. We have seen how people were badly affected by the winter floods and our government cannot do it lonely. It is for this reason, i'm calling upon business people and politicians being patriotic capetonians.
The Operation Warm Hearts is a joint initiative for in association with other partners which distributing food for the poor of the poorest. Gift of the Givers is a Non profit organisation who has been on the for front for the past few yeatrs assisting locally, national and international disaster recently they visited Japan to help out. This initiative it reminds me of Mandela Day, to be done throught the year. Unlike the celebrates and politician who only does for Mandela and the publicity.
I want to call upon all South Africans to follow the suite not only devote thier time on the 18th July when is Madiba's birthday. It should be a daily campaign for the poor of the poorest of this country.I mean we have wealth people in this country who can volunteer donate food, clothing and shoes etc. Madiba has laid the foundation for us to follow his footsteps to help one another and show "UBUNTU" whcih i think is the most lacking in our diversity country. I therefore encourage the Mandela Day to be carried out every day of our life and assist the aboved mentioned companies who have showned us the way to go. BE PROUDLY SOUTH AFRICA AND LEAD SA INITIATIVE.

Metrail intelligence bullies
I'm very happy that Metrail have finally admitted that they are facing a huge challenges to get its service right to high standard according the Cape Argus. I have been using trains for the past ten years or more communiting from Muizeberg to Town and Bellivile.
You will be on the station on time, you hear that trains has been cancelled or delay for 10 or 15 minutes and you will received the communication after numerous costomers have gone to complained or asked, where is the train? or why there is no train? why the train is late or has not yet arrived? Only than you hear Metrail start communicating with its costomers.
Even staff members on the platform would be in the dark, why the train has not arrived or late. The regional manager Mr Lindelo Matya of Metrail has also blamed vandalism, cable cheft have contributed to the problem on operation service. I wish to share with his sentiments on tha part, we are also contributing to Metrail poor service as commuters or costomers.
We know or seen the perpetrotors and we do not report them on Metrail or to police. But despite this problems have been mentioned above does not give Metrail a mondate to bullie us, by not provinding a quality service. We are quiet aware that they cheaper than Golden Arror and taxi and they also does not have competitors. If they have to deploy security in each of the train than be it or get more trains from Eastern Cape.

Makhaza loites erected after a year.
When Mayor Patricia De Lille announced in her first bugdet speech last month that she is going to send City of Cape Town staff to do the inspection site before the enclosed of the toilets, i had mixed feelings of happeness and sadness. I mean we all have seen, what happened when the former mayor Dan Plato went to Makhazi with his city staff.
The residents of Makahaza completely disagree with zing toilets and they destroyed them literally. When i saw the toilets were erected peacefully, i clapped my hands with disbelive and appreciate as thier welcome concrete toilets being assebled.I could spot the excitment written in the face of the residents as thier inspected the toilets. The Local government election have come and gone, councillors, mayors, PR, municipality and governement need to delivery the services to the poorest of this country nothing else. However people have spoken during election they voted to the party felt would carry the mandate of the their needs.
We seen people using open fields to revealed themsevels without any cover over them. It was a sad story for residents of Khayelitsha and people of the Western Cape at larger, as it was making news international and around the world. One of the prominet person who visited the Makhaza issue was Bishop Thabo Makgoba and other churchers. I know there also few churchers who visited and prayer for Makhaza residents unfortunaly were never followed by any media institutions.
I sencerely hope the international media will make a front page story to inform their readers about the progress has been made thus far regarding the issue of Makhaza saga. However, government, communities leaders, civic organisations and political parties would never make such embarassment again and they should strive to work towards one goal to serve poor of the poorest. I want appeal to residents of Makhaza to look after the newly erected toilets with strong eyes and used them to the best of thier ability.
I want to take this opportunity to thank newly elected madam mayor De Lille, City of Cape Town staff, Makhaza residents, communities leaders, business people , churches, Cape High court and political parties for work well done.

The elephant in the room
If you think about the first three scenarios, meeting a client, team member or family, everyone has their own agenda. Each party comes with a set of assumptions, ideals and objectives that could be very different to the person sitting next to them. There are definitely a few elephants in the room.
Elephants in the room are all the things ‘not being talked about’. The situations where everyone nods in silent compliance, meanwhile a missile-fire of objections and ulterior arguments are whizzing round inside their heads, threatening to burst out through their ears in a shower of fury or fireworks. It’s the situation where everyone agrees with what the boss has just said; but will go straight home and rant about it to their partner.
In these situations, truly great leaders will stand up and be counted. They will offer their honest views, even if they’re unpopular with the masses. They will stand up to what they believe in and be willing to be pushed and probed on that. Often, once they’ve aired an alternative view, other people will have the confidence to admit their own questions or reservations.
So why doesn’t this happen with friends? Well, potentially it does, depending on your group. But for me and my friends, I think we’ve all grown up being entirely honest with each other. Often far too honest! If you’re feeling angry, you’ll tell people about it and you’ll explain exactly why. Unhappy about something someone did? You confront them and sort it out. Excited about possible changes in your life? You go straight to them to spill the beans, because they always give the right response.
