I'm very happy that Metrail have finally admitted that they are facing a huge challenges to get its service right to high standard according the Cape Argus. I have been using trains for the past ten years or more communiting from Muizeberg to Town and Bellivile.
You will be on the station on time, you hear that trains has been cancelled or delay for 10 or 15 minutes and you will received the communication after numerous costomers have gone to complained or asked, where is the train? or why there is no train? why the train is late or has not yet arrived? Only than you hear Metrail start communicating with its costomers.
Even staff members on the platform would be in the dark, why the train has not arrived or late. The regional manager Mr Lindelo Matya of Metrail has also blamed vandalism, cable cheft have contributed to the problem on operation service. I wish to share with his sentiments on tha part, we are also contributing to Metrail poor service as commuters or costomers.
We know or seen the perpetrotors and we do not report them on Metrail or to police. But despite this problems have been mentioned above does not give Metrail a mondate to bullie us, by not provinding a quality service. We are quiet aware that they cheaper than Golden Arror and taxi and they also does not have competitors. If they have to deploy security in each of the train than be it or get more trains from Eastern Cape.

Very true Vuks, its such an inconvenience to get to the station on time and find that the train is delayed!
